Who Is Malus Thorm?
By using context clues throughout Act 2, you can learn that Malus Thorm is actually Ketheric Thorm's uncle. He was the head surgeon at the House of Healing in life and was a very devoted follower of Shar (interesting since Isobel is a Selunite and Ketheric used to be). It turns out, Malus would only allow Sharran Dark Justiciars to be healed in the House of Healing. If someone else came, he would experiment on them.
Where Is Malus Thorm?
Malus Thorm is found in the same place he would've been found in life, the House of Healing. This is located within Reithwin Town near Moonrise Towers. The area is host to the hospital and a very large graveyard. You will be able to find Malus Thorm inside the hospital, experimenting on a poor soul.

How To Defeat Malus Thorm
Malus Thorm can be killed in one of three ways. You can either convince him or his nurses to kill him, or you can kill him. Here's how to do each one.
How To Have The Nurses Kill Malus Thorm
In order to do this, you will need to play along with Malus Thorm's delusions. Eventually, you can tell him that his nurses need a good subject to practice on. If you pass a Charisma Check, he will lie down on the operating table for his nurses. You can then prompt them to practice on him, killing him instantly. The nurses will also remain friendly, meaning there won't be a fight at all.
How To Have Malus Thorm Kill Himself
First, you will need to have the nurses turn on one another. To do this, continue speaking with him as though he is correct. Finally, you can tell him that he should have the nurses hone their skills on one another. You will need to pass a Charisma Check in order to do this. You will then have the option to have him show you how to truly worship Shar (you will need to pass another check for this). In order to do this, he will kill himself as the ultimate sacrifice to his depraved goddess.
How To Beat Malus Thorm In Battle
There are two ways to beat Malus Thorm in battle, but one way is a lot easier than the other. You can either kill his nurses and then focus on him (easier), or you can go straight for him (much harder and dangerous).
- Kill the nurses and then Malus - The easiest way is to tackle the nurses first and then deal with Malus. If you want to make things extremely easy, use an AOE spell on the nurses while they are all together at the start of the fight. This can kill them all instantly. Malus will continue to resurrect them throughout the fight, but they will be significantly weaker. Once the nurses are taken care of, focus on Malus and leave one range attacker to pick off the nurses he revives. As long as you keep the revived nurses away from him, he won't be able to obtain a scalpel from them, which will do a lot of damage.
- Kill Malus and then the nurses - This is much harder to do than the other option. Here, you will go straight for Malus with everything you have. However, keep in mind that his AC is 18, and he is able to obtain a scalpel from any nurse near him that will do insane damage to you. This means that if you take this route, you will want to make sure that you can defeat him within a reasonable time.
Once he has been killed, you can rest easy knowing that the butcher of the House of Healing is no more—dead or alive.
