Under the hood, the LT model packs 210 horsepower, and for the first time, Chevrolet is introducing a sporty RS trim for those craving a bit more excitement.

Here’s the kicker: The Bolt’s impressive specs and price point are made possible by its use of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells, initially imported from China before domestic sourcing kicks in. These cheaper, more durable batteries are a key reason GM could hit that sub-$30,000 mark. But is relying on imported technology a sustainable long-term strategy? That’s a question worth debating.

Design-wise, the new Bolt retains the familiar shape and size of the previous Bolt EUV, which was discontinued in 2023, but with refreshed front and rear fascias.
